These are the ingredients used in 11 different recipes.  I'm not telling you anything new here, but there are many common ingredients.  The most common are: Obviously salt & pepper only 1 recipe called for no pepper.  Onion, boneless chuck roast was the most used roast, thyme, garlic, carrots, bay leaves, red wine, EVOO, and beef stock topped the list.

Mission: Pot Roast

So, I've decided to compare recipes from many top chefs and/or food network chefs and hosts.  The mission - find the best pot roast recipe out there, or finally create one that I can call my own.

I chose this mission for myself because recently I have been entering recipe contests.  The thing with contests is the recipe must be yours, your own creation... not a recipe you think you created but subconsciously remember from a cookbook you skimmed through years ago.

The first thing I’ll do is compare the ingredients list from all recipes I plan to sample.

I’ll keep you posted on what I find!
